Roula Salamoun Studio - Coordinated Senses
After the successful launch of her first studio collections, Archipelago & Strata, Designer and Architect Roula Salamoun approached me to help clarify her brand positioning, visual identity, and communication strategy to better align with the work her studio was creating.
Roula Salamoun is a Lebanese architect and founder of a multidisciplinary studio where she marries her architectural sensibilities with an intuitive, hands-on approach to design. Her practice rigorously experiments with materiality and form to mold objects and spaces that elicit dialogs through the senses.
The process began with an in-depth review of the designer and her practice. This involved interviews with key collaborators, case studies on both international and regional practices, as well as an archival review of the designer's work since her initiation. After forming a cohesive identity for the brand, we were able to review the visual identity across various mediums, from digital platforms to print collaterals, and even physical presence.
Brand identity & strategy
We described her approach as ‘Coordinated Senses’: a fascination with the forces that shape the world around us, from the biology that makes up our bodies to the tectonics that mold landscapes. It's an ongoing study of the sensorial and formal qualities that shape and enrich the world around us and how they can be translated into physical and spatial experiences.
