Facilitating a collaboration between designer & architect Roula salamoun and chef & proprietor Yasmina Hayek of ‘Em Sherif’ to re-imagine a beloved local delicacy known as ‘Maamoul’ – a shortbread biscuit cherished by communities across the Levant during Easter, Ramadan, and Purim celebrations. Through the development of both the recipe and the design of these biscuits, our aim was to foster a sense of unity amidst the diverse cultural tapestry of the region, emphasizing shared traditions over perceived differences.
